About the Owner
The work of caring for and about young children is a responsibility that I take seriously.  My goal is to enrich their lives as fully as I am able.  This has been my chosen career for over 30 years.  The carefully planned environment and curriculum is designed to promote the children's intellectual, social, emotional, creative and physical growth through experiences in social skills, hands on activities, cooking, health and safety, language, arts and dramatics.  Some special events include field trips, six playground/park facilities within our subdivision, annual group and individual professional portraits, and candid snap shots of children at play are sent home several times per year.
A word on my interpersonal relationship with my little clientele:  If I had to choose a "role" that best described how I see myself, I would not be baby-sitter (I rarely get the opportunity to sit during my work day).  Never do I propose to take over a mother role, but to work with parents to be a helpmate, essentially a partner with parents.  Usually I feel more like an aunt or nanny, rather than a starchy teacher authority figure.  On the subject of teaching, I try to find those teachable moments when children are receptive to learning and pick up on their natural interests.  As a group, we vote on topics and issues that affect their day.  The children are involved in menu planning, field trip choices, activity plans and sometimes they are involved in choosing equipment and toy purchases.

In essence, I strive to provide my children with happy, fun-filled days balanced with healthy dosages of love, to foster confidence, creativity, competence and compatibility.
